DDP vs DAP for international custom sign shipments
The two terms can produce very different buyer experiences even when the factory product is identical, so the named place and import responsibilities must be explicit.

DDP can simplify the customer experience
Where the route is legally and commercially workable, DDP can reduce uncertainty for a buyer who does not want to arrange customs clearance. The seller must price the additional import responsibility correctly.
DAP may be better for experienced importers
A trade customer with its own broker, tax structure or consolidated freight may prefer DAP because local clearance remains under its control while the seller still arranges transport to destination.
Incoterms do not replace the sales contract
The parties still need to specify product, payment, documents, delivery point and any excluded charges. The Incoterm allocates defined transport and customs responsibilities but does not solve every commercial term.

- Approximate dimensions or a scale drawing
- Quantity and whether this is a one-off or repeat programme
- Indoor, normal outdoor, coastal, pool-side or other exposure
- Logo, artwork, PDF, photograph or reference drawing where available
- Delivery country and postcode so the landed route can be evaluated
